South American General Manager
Mr. Charchaflie joined the Lundin Group as a Junior Geologist in South America in 1993. He was a member of the team that discovered the Veladero gold deposit in Argentina and participated on the exploration of Josemaria and Filo del Sol, Argentina, and Los Helados, Chile. Mr. Charchaflie now serves as South America General Manager for Filo. He has a Licentiate in Geological Sciences from Buenos Aires University, and an MBA from CEMA University, Buenos Aires and a M.Sc. Degree from the University of British Columbia.
He was also part of the exploration team that discovered the Navidad silver project, and collaborated on several grass root exploration ventures including precious and base metals as well as uranium mineralization.
